In the 2014 Lok Sabha general elections, Badlapur assembly segment had given a handsome lead of votes to the BJP Jaunpur Lok Sabha nominee Krishna Pratap (K. P.) over his nearest BSP rival Subhash Pandey who received 48269 votes in this assembly constituency.
